I was very interested in this topic when I came across it, because I was raised eating a very traditional diet: meat as part of the main course, with vegetables as a side and a glass of milk to drink. A plant based diet is the opposite of this, with the vegetables as the main course and the meat, dairy and eggs as sides.
There are a lot of pros to this diet being followed by children, but also some cons, including deficiencies in certain vitamins and minerals, requiring supplements to replace those. Learn what nutritionists have to say about this topic below!
