Have we underestimated the true power the egg has to offer? I fear the excellence of the egg has been underrated! Most of us think of eggs when we think of breakfast. We think of the way they complement the bacon and toast so well. The egg is the star of the show.
The oval-shaped perfection the hens produce contains the highest quality of protein you can buy! The egg’s protein has the right mix of essential amino acids needed by humans to build tissues. The egg is also unique because it contains every essential vitamin, except C. So, don’t forget to add orange juice at least to your breakfast.
Eggs are filled with many beneficial qualities, for example, the yolk is a special part of the egg. The yolks are a part of a few foods that offer a natural good source of vitamin D.
While the egg offers so many amazing things for the human body it is also an interesting food! To produce one egg, it takes a hen 24 to 26 hours! As the hen grows older she produces larger eggs. The interesting facts of eggs continue! I bet you didn’t know the color of the yolk depends on the hen’s diet.
While this jam-packed oval of protein is so spectacular it is also extremely affordable. Eggs average about 17 cents a serving! Now that’s a cheap breakfast you can have in the comfort of your own home!
In Arizona, we have a large family-owned egg farm! The Hickman family farm is run by four siblings and they sell their eggs all over the state!
