Did you know eating on a schedule is actually good for you? All those years going to school and eating breakfast and lunch at the same time every day actually helped keep you healthy!

Studies done by Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York and the American Heart Association have shown that keeping a regular schedule of eating can lower your risk for heart disease and diabetes. Here are some actions I am taking to help me live a healthier life:

  1. Eat on schedule that works around my class times.
  2. Prepare healthier snacks.
  3. Stop eating after 6 pm.
  4. Go to bed at a reasonable time.
  5. Drink plenty of water.
  6. Make meals with heart-healthy foods.
  7. Do food prep ahead of time so meal time is easier and less of a hassle.
