The month of March is not only sauce month as discussed in a previous blog, but also celery month! Celery is a low-calorie vegetable that can be eaten raw or cooked, and is a great addition to soup and salad recipes.
Celery is packed full of vitamin K, copper and calcium, as well as potassium, manganese and vitamin B2. According to www.whfoods.com, celery is a great food to eat if you have any type of inflammation, as it reduced the effects. A different website, organicfacts.net, describes celery as a food that can reduce blood pressure, reduce cholesterol, improve your immune and cardiovascular health, and help with weight loss. Plus, who doesn’t love the crisp crunch of celery.
