Ever since my little brother began selling the raw honey he produces from his bees at local farmer’s markets, my interest in them has definitely increased! Here are my three favorite things about local farmer’s markets!

Supports small businesses.

Most of the participants at farmer’s markets are all individuals who own their own small businesses and are trying to sell products and build a consumer following. I’ve personally seen how successful this can be after watching my brother start by only selling honey to a few family members and friends, becoming one of the most popular, sought-after booths at the farmer’s market here in town! So, by shopping there, not only are you helping people grow their businesses, but you are also likely to get higher quality products than what you can get at a store.

It’s a good outdoor activity.

If you’re anything like me, there is nothing more miserable than just sitting in the house all day. I would much rather get outside and get moving! Walking around a farmer’s market is a great way to get out in the fresh air, get some movement in, and get some of your weekly shopping out of the way! Additionally, it allows you to socialize and network with all the different people that set up vendors or shops there!
