What better way to spend cold evenings during the Christmas season than at home watching holiday movies with your family? It is the perfect opportunity to stay warm, spend time together, and watch those movies that are usually only watched once a year! Here are some ideas for planning the perfect Christmas movie night that the entire family will enjoy!
Pick a family-friendly movie, that way the entire family gets to be involved! Here are some suggestions:
- Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
- Frosty the Snowman
- Polar Express
- How the Grinch Stole Christmas
- Home Alone 1, 2, & 3
- Elf
- A Charlie Brown Christmas
No movie night is complete without some hot chocolate! Make it even more fun by setting up a hot chocolate bar with all the fun toppings such as:
- Whip cream
- Caramel and chocolate drizzle
- Peppermint sticks
- Candies
- Marshmallows
- Flavored syrups
- Sprinkles
Have fun snacks prepared to munch on while you watch! Popcorn is always a must, but here are some additional ideas:
- Pull-Apart Pizza Bread
- Homemade Soft Pretzels
- Caramel Apple Nachos
- Puff Pastry Cheese Sticks
- Bacon Cheeseburger Bites
- BLT Pinwheels
Now all that’s left is to gather your family, grab some warm and fuzzy blankets and plop on the couch to stay out of the cold and enjoy some time together!
