June 11th is National Corn on the Cob Day and we thought that offered a great opportunity to talk about Arizona corn. While corn is also used for animal feed and other purposes, more than half of the corn grown here at home is used as a grain.  To celebrate homegrown Arizona corn and National Corn on the Cob Day, we thought it would be fun to look at some of the many ways people enjoy this symbol of summer.

The most common way to dress corn on the cob is with butter and a sprinkle of salt and pepper but that doesn’t mean everyone eats it that way.  In fact, you might be surprised at how many different ways there are to make this summertime specialty.  If you are looking for a great way to spice up your next backyard barbecue or simply searching for new ways to fill your family’s plate, here are just a few of the fantastic ways to make your corn on the cob stand out this summer.
