Four rural county Farm Bureaus (Cochise, Pinal, Yavapai and Yuma) will host GOP Arizona Governor Candidate Forums in March and April. The candidates will debate questions on rural issues, as well as questions posed by the audience. The public is encouraged to attend.
“The primary election will be here before we know it, and we want to do our part to help inform the voting public,” said Kevin Rogers, president of the Arizona Farm Bureau. “We also want to make sure the candidates weigh in on issues that are critical to rural areas. These forums will be invaluable for the rural voting public to get to know the governor candidates who are running in a contested primary election.”
Ken Bennett, Doug Ducey, Christine Jones, Al Melvin and Scott Smith have confirmed their attendance at all or most of the forums.
The following dates and locations will be hosted by the county Farm Bureaus and other community groups. All four will have a meet & greet time from 5:30 to 6:00pm, with the forum from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
- March 31 Cottonwood Recreation Center, Cottonwood
- April 2 Willcox Community Center, Willcox
- April 8 The Property, Casa Grande
- April 11 Booth Machinery, Yuma
