Independence Day Events Around AZ

Trying to figure out where to spend the 4th of July? There is so much going on in Arizona for the 4th! Hopefully, with our list, you’ll find something fun to do in celebration of our great nation’s independence.

Central Arizona

Fort McDowell Casino

July 4

Enjoy music by Britain’s Finest (Beatles tribute), Kenny Metcalf as Elton John and the early years, and Damage Inc. (Southern California’s tribute to Metallica). Tickets are $5 and kids are free. Doors open at 5pm and the shows begin at 7pm. Fireworks follow the show.

 

Tempe, Tempe Beach Park

July 4

Gates open at 5pm for this evening of family enjoyment. There will be live music, a splash playground, and great food. The Family Fun Fest will offer event goers a free inflatable village for all ages and a variety of rides, rock climbing walls and more! For the adults there will be the Miller Lite Beer Gardens. Of course it isn’t the 4th without the Fireworks Spectacular at 9:15pm. Tickets are $8 at the gate and children 12 and under are free.

 

Peoria, Peoria Sports Complex

July 4

From 5pm – 10pm you can enjoy great entertainment on multiple stages, kids’ zone, water zones, concessions & beer, plus plenty of family friendly activities. The fireworks display starts at 9:15 pm. Admission is $10 (kids 12 & under free), free parking.

 

Phoenix, Steele Indian School Park

July 4

Enjoy a variety of vendors offering festival-style food and beverages, local entertainers, a classic car display, arts and crafts and interactive displays. For the kids there will be youth activities, inflatables and rides, and a water spray zone. The event runs from 6pm – 10pm, fireworks start at 9:30pm. Free admission.

 

Mesa, Mesa Convention Center

July 4

Enjoy live entertainment, food, family fun, fireworks finale and much more! Starts at 6pm and ends at 10pm. Free admission.

 

Queen Creek, Schnepf Farms Festival Site

July 4

This event runs from 5pm – 11:30pm. All amusement rides and waterslides will be open from 5:30 – 8:45, close for fireworks, then reopen for one more hour. There will be food, and a movie as well. There is a $15 per carload admission fee with a portion of the proceeds going to the performing arts center.

 

North Central Arizona

Prescott, Pioneer Park

July 4

All day family fun and a large fireworks show. The carnival has zip-lining, climbing walls, water slides, bungee trampoline jumping, games, and more. Great food, live entertainment, and a fireworks show at 9pm. Event runs from noon – 10pm. Free parking and shuttle at Embry-Riddle and carnival wrist bands are $15.

 

Sedona, Sedona Performing Arts Center and Sedona Red Rock High School

July 4

Spend your 4th of July day in Sedona with time to drive to your favorite firework show in the evening. Enjoy having a picnic on the cool grass, surrounded by the spectacular red rocks and listening to an upbeat live concert while the children play on water slides.  Beat the heat during the patriotic indoor laser show being held in the Sedona Performing Arts Center.  The entire event is free.  Dogs and alcohol not permitted.  The concert and food will continue from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on the baseball field at Sedona Red Rock High School.  The 15 minute indoor laser show will begin at 11:00 am, 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm.

 

Prescott, Downtown

July 4

Don’t forget The Whiskey Row Boot Race following the parade on Whiskey Row! Parade from 9-11am.

 

Payson, Green Valley Park

Bring your chairs, a picnic basket and blanket, or grab some food from one of the vendors that will be on hand and enjoy a day of fun. The fireworks show & games are all FREE to the public. The event will feature, great food vendors, bouncy houses, games, prizes, music, and beautiful scenery.  Don’t forget that Payson is generally 20 degrees cooler than Phoenix. Fireworks at 9pm.

 

Southern Arizona

Tubac, Tubac Presidio State Historical Park

July 4

Celebrate with free, old-time games for kids, free hot dogs and watermelon, and a “squirt-down” courtesy of the Tubac Fire Department. Park admission is FREE during the event, 10 am – Noon.

 

Tubac, Tubac Golf Resort

July 4

Entertainment, food booths, Kid’s Fun Zone, Tucson food trucks and a fantastic fireworks display starting at 8:45 pm. Doors open at 4pm, parking $10 per car.

 

Oro Valley, James D. Kriegh Park

July 4

Enjoy family-friendly activities, live entertainment, food trucks, patriotic crafts, jumping castles, a rock climbing wall, and t-shirt tie dying at James D. Kriegh Park. The Oro Valley Aquatic Center will also be open from 5:00PM to 8:30PM with a watermelon relay, diving board contests, water polo and more. Enjoy fireworks from the Hilton El Conquistador starting at 9:00PM

 

Tucson, Tucson Convention Center

July 4

You can enjoy the show from the Tucson Convention Center’s (TCC) Parking Lot B, which is off Granada Avenue between Congress Street and Cushing Street. Parking is free. TCC’s Food and Beverage Department will be selling food and beverages between 7:00pm and 9:00pm. Fireworks start at 9:15pm.

 

Northern Arizona

Flagstaff, Wheeler Park

July 3-5

Featuring tightly juried one-of-a-kind fine arts and fine crafts designed and shown by the exhibitor. Food vendors, regional entertainers and quality arts and crafts booths. Starts 9am daily.

 

Flagstaff, Historic Downtown Flagstaff

July 4

Celebrate the birth of our great nation at this year’s 4th of July Parade! There will be over 100 floats driven by local businesses and community organizations from 9am – 11am.

 

Flagstaff, 2380 N Oakmont Dr.

July 4

Food court, beer garden, live music, kids’ zone, and fireworks starting between 8:30pm and 9:30pm. Event runs from 3pm – 11pm with free admission.

 

There are many more events going on throughout Arizona this Independence Day weekend. Hopefully this list will be of some help. A quick internet search may help you find something closer to you if we missed your area.
