Focus on Arizona Agriculture: Why Clean a Marble?

Advice from the Old Farmer’s Almanac:  “To clean a marble, use a solution of 3 tablespoons baking soda and one quart water.”

The question I ask myself is: “Why would you want to clean a marble?”
