By Peggy Jo Goodfellow, Arizona Farm Bureau

On a late spring afternoon on the ranch east of Flagstaff, Vickie Park’s grandson, Joseph and husband, Jim, decided to relax after a long, hot dusty day rounding up cattle.

As Parks watched her husband and grandson after a hard day of branding calves, she thought what a great picture this would make.  “There was such a look of satisfaction on their faces, I decided to get my camera and capture the moment,” recalls Parks, the grand-prize winner in the Arizona Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee’s second annual Photo-Poetry-Essay Contest.

“I took this picture because there was not only a great sense of bonding between a Grandfather and Grandson and pure quality time, but a sense of looking on the rewards of a job well done,” Parks said.
